Outstanding scholarship
Resourceful technical suggestions matched with rigorously thoughtful scholarship. A wonderful introduction into iconoclastic music that continues to inspire wonder and speculation.

the music has motivated me
I chose this music because I like it so much. However, I hadn't played the piano for many many years. The music is what has brought me back to playing. Therefore, I am thrilled with having this music and want to master the third Gnossienne - even though it will take me time.

3Gymnopedies & 3 Gnossiennes
A great collection of approachable pieces and the fact that a lot of the left hand is in the treble clef is a good exercise for students. Dynamic markings are somewhat exaggerated, but overall a very worthwhile purchase

3 Gymnopedies and 3 Gnossiennes
I did not like the left hand transposed in the right hand as it was difficult to read. The yellow Schirmer's Gnossiennes and Gymnopedies are easier to read.

Satie 3 Gymnopedies & 3 Gnossiennes
This publication is difficult to read because the left hand is written in the treble cleft (as if for the right hand) verses being written in the bass cleft. I recommend purchasing the yellow-covered Schirmer's Library of Musical Classics for Satie Thjree Gymnopedies and also Three Gnossienes (also sold on this website) as it is much easier to read and play.
